Photodynamic Therapy

Non Invasive Light Therapy

Photodynamic Therapy (PDT) is a non invasive procedure, with minimal down time, aimed at skin rejuvenation.

Indications for PDT are:

  • photo ageing (sun damage)
  • Redness
  • actinic keratosis
  • acne vulgaris
  • Enlarged pores
  • Basal Cell Carcinoma (BCC) and other precancerous lesions.

The mechanism of action consists of: an optimised light source and a photosensitising chemical compound that targets damaged or abnormal cells.

A series of PDT offers clients cosmetic results with minimal downtime. PDT can be applied to the face, scalp, decollatage, arms, hands and legs.

Pre and Post PDT requirements may be found in the resources section below.
